Illustration Detail
On page 591 of the eighth chapter of the text is a particularly worn image. It has become faded and very light in color, as if part of it has been rubbed off. Despite the poor aging, one can see the figures are two women, and between them a sort of chalice. The woman on the left appears to be regal or queen like due to the scepter she holds and the decorative hat on her head, while the woman on the left could be an angel. A bird flies over her head, and she holds a sheath of wheat.
