From a young age I on, I have always been interested in drawing faces and capturing likenesses. This theme has been present in my work both as an art major in college, as well as in the subsequent art classes I have taken at the SMFA and other institutions. While charcoal had been my medium of choice, I have incorporated soft pastel and black paper into my work. My goal has been to experiment with capturing the mood in addition to likeness.
