                <text>D’abord, il faut qu’on examine les raisons pour l’émigration, pourquoi ces gens ont décidé de quitter leur pays pour l’Europe. Dans le dessin, on voit une représentation typique des migrants méditerranéens. Ils arrivent entassés dans une barque simple, certains sont du Maghreb, il y a plus d’homme que des femmes…etc. Le drapeau blanc avec le mot « liberté » représente la motivation de l’émigration—ces immigrants émigrent pour chercher la liberté. La liberté est définie comme l’état d’une personne d’être libre des oppressions sur la vie culturelle, économique ou politique par les figures autoritaires, et d’avoir le pouvoir de faire ce qu’il désire. C’est un terme vague, mais qui a des significations différentes pour chaque immigrant. Par exemple, dans le film Welcome, c’est la liberté de poursuivre le rêve de devenir footballeur, pour les personnages dans Cannibales, c’est la liberté de gagner leur vie, de réunir avec un proche, ou d’échapper la persécution. Dans Par le feu, on voit bien la manque de la liberté quand les gens vivent sous un régime autoritaire et sans justice. Mohammed se tue car il ne voit pas l’espoir comme il est limité dans la vie politique et économique. Cependant, l’Europe est un rêve qui signifie une terre de richesse et de l’opportunité. Morad dans Cannibales, « l’Expulsé européen » qui a passé « dix longues années de bonheur » (26) à Paris était la fascination des passagers de la barque. Il n’a raconté que du bonheur de son séjour comme la nourriture sublime et ses aventures dans les rues de Paris, même s’il vivait une vie à l’ombre de la peur de la déportation. Cette notion idéalisée de l’Europe pousse souvent la décision de partir. &#13;
Dans le dessin, on voit un drapeau blanc dans le dessin qui est un signe de l’intention de se rendre ou de négocier la paix pendant la guerre. Ici, le mot « liberté » est écrit sur le drapeau. C’est comme si les migrants se rendent leur dignité pour avoir la liberté dont ils imaginaient et rêvaient d’avoir. Dans le chapitre du cauchemar dans Cannibales, Morad se rends petit à petit les parties de son corps pour plus de l’argent, pour travailler en salle, pour un appartement plus joli...etc. Il rend sa dignité humaine pour la liberté d’avoir une situation économique plus confortable. Mais cette liberté a des limites. Quand Morad n’a plus de chair pour le patron à manger, il est jeté dehors la fenêtre. Quand les migrants arrivent travailler en Europe, ils obtiennent la liberté de gagner leur vie, mais au même temps, leur liberté dépend sur les besoins du pays d’accueil et ils deviennent « jetables » dès qu’ils ne sont plus utiles. &#13;
Le rejet des migrants dans le pays d’accueil est aussi évoqué dans le dessin. L’officier dit aux migrants : « Vous voulez vraiment passer de « héros » à « sale immigré ? » Quand les migrants partent de leurs pays, ils sont considérés des « héros » courageux qui représentent l’espoir, mais quand ils arrivent dans un nouveau pays, la perception extérieure de leur identité change profondément. Ils passent d'être « héro » dans leur pays d’origine à être la minorité rejetée par la société d'accueil. Avec cette idée, je passe à mon prochain dessin.</text>
