                <text>L’artiste danois E.B. Itso a produit “Sheddings” avec les vêtements et les matériaux que les réfugiés qui arrivent à l’île de Lampedusa ont laissé sur la plage. Il a trempé les vêtements dans la peinture et les pose sur le papier. Après, il a encadré l’art dans le bois flottant qu’il a trouvé près de la plage . &#13;
  L’île de Lampedusa était la destination pour les migrants qui sont morts pendant le naufrage du 3 Octobre 2013. Lampedusa est une destination principale pour les migrants parce que l’île est seulement à 70 miles de la côte de la Tunisie . Cependant, l’influx des refugiés n’affecte pas seulement les migrants mais les locaux en l’île aussi. Dans le film Fuocoammare, qui a été réalisé par Gianfranco Rosi, un médecin en l’île décrit comment la crise des migrants a changé sa vie. Il dit que « Tout ça [les épreuves des migrants, leur morts] te laisse très fâché…mais c’est la responsabilité de chaque humain d’aider les migrants  ». Le médecin a vu beaucoup de cadavres, et il ne peut pas comprendre pourquoi les humains n’aident l’un l’autre. Comme le médecin, Itso veut aussi essayer de convaincre les autres gens qui sont plus riches d’aider les migrants et d’essayer de réduire leur souffrance. Il a vendu les œuvres de l’exhibition de « Sheddings » pour 10,000 euros , mais Itso a donné tout l’argent à charité. Le représentant de sa galerie d’art a dit que « il n’est pas moral de profiter de la souffrance des autres . » Avec ses œuvres, Itso peut alerter le public européen sur la souffrance des migrants et en même temps aider les migrants avec l’argent qu’il gagne avec ses œuvres.&#13;
  « Sheddings » est important aussi parce que l’utilisation des vêtements des migrants représentent comment ils ont « mué » leurs vies avant qu’ils soient arrivés à l’île de Lampedusa et devenir quelqu’un nouveau après leurs arrivées. Les « Sheddings » sont des représentations de leur transformation d’une vie à une autre. Pour beaucoup de migrants, l’arrivée en Europe ou dans les pays de l’Ouest est l’opportunité de commencer une nouvelle vie. Il est vrai que leur ‘nouvelle vie’ est difficile et quelquefois dangereuse, mais ils ont aussi échappé aux dangers de leur pays d’origine. Par conséquent, malgré les difficultés, l’immigration en général est souvent une opportunité d’avoir une meilleure vie. Dans le film Incendies, qui a été réalisé par Denis Villeneuve, une femme qui était incarcérée pendant la guerre civile au Liban et qui était violée s’échappe au Canada. Même si elle est traumatisée encore par ses souvenirs—elle meurt quand elle voit son violeur, qui était aussi son fils—elle peut, au Canada, élever ses deux enfants. Elle travaille comme secrétaire pour dix-huit années , et ses enfants sont très brillants, particulièrement sa fille Jeanne, qui est une mathématicienne. Il est vrai que le passé de la mère a eu un effet sur ses rapports avec ses enfants, qui dit qu’elle n’a jamais fait « quelque chose de normal » et n’était pas, de l’avis de son fils, une bonne mère . Cependant, le fait que la famille pouvait avoir une vie en sécurité au Canada montre que même si la vie des réfugiés est très difficile, la migration peut améliorer les opportunités. Les œuvres comme « Sheddings » disent aux européens qu’ils peuvent aider les migrants commencer une nouvelle vie s’ils donnent l’argent ou soutenir les réfugiés. &#13;
