The illustrator has used a linear perspective in the areas between the church and the smaller buildings, to show the number of buildings there are, The foreground of the composition shows the water body with some small boats on it. On these boats there are men and the structures that have been built on it, displayed. The background consists of some clear skies and some clouds which have been made with horizontal lines. Under this composition, the name of this piece has been written in capital letters. Whilst the illustrator's name has not been mentioned, Carlevarjis’s name has been written in the bottom right corner, in a very small, cursive font.
