Certaines cultures soulignent les détails différents dans les cas sociaux, politiques, religieux, ou familiales, ce qui donne souvent aux cultures une étiquette de « bizarre », « barbare », ou « radical ».  Nos malentendus viennent de nos manques de connaissances des pratiques différentes que les nôtres.&#13;
	Un espace très unique, mais toujours intéressant d’examiner est celui du lieu de travail.  Dans un monde qui devient plus et plus mondialisé chaque jour, les affaires et le commerce internationaux comptent plus sur la compréhension des pratiques non-occidentales.  Depuis le deuxième millénaire, la définition la plus acceptée par les grands pouvoirs du monde de comment se comporter et comment faire les « rapport internationaux » étaient celle de leurs propres cultures.  Plus précisément, cette hiérarchie intellectuelle est né dans le colonialisme, le racisme, et, en général, un favoritisme de la façon de penser occidentale.  Les empires Européens ont les ressources et la capacité de garder leurs statuts, donc leurs idéologies étaient imposées autour du monde comme « pratiques acceptées ».  Selon Maalouf, « ce sont ces blessures qui détermine, à chaque étape de la vie, l’attitude des hommes à l’égard de leurs appartenances, et la hiérarchie entre celles-ci » (p. 34).  Les structures sociales sont tellement enracinées dans la douleur, les blessures des autres. &#13;
	Aujourd’hui, on souffre toujours de cette barrière créée par les empires occidentaux et de leurs malentendus perpétués.  Il y an un marché aujourd’hui qui est complètement dévoué à la compréhension et conduite professionnelle dans le lieu de travail.  Pour récupérer après des années de la « préférence » de la hiérarchie professionnel occidentale, les organisations doivent revisiter leurs racines et reconnaître ou leurs cultures divergent des autres.  Ce n’est qu’après cette concrétisation que les entreprises internationales peuvent gérer le commerce international.&#13;
	En haut, j’ai trois citations différentes qui font un commentaire sur les pratiques occidentales dans l’espace de commerce international.  Un article écrit par Anne Galez-Rovan examine comment on peut traverser et démolir les frontières sociales et culturelles dans le lieu de travail.  Elle consulte beaucoup de professionnels pour obtenir leurs opinions et conseils sur le sujet.  Cependant, les implications de leurs récits ne sont pas réservées à cet espace exclusivement.  Si on les examine plus proche, ou peut-être de plus loin, on ne sait pas exactement dans quel contexte les gens parlent.  Est-ce qu’ils adressent le comportement à l’université ?  Ils parlent de la philosophie culturelle ?  C’est exactement dans cette confusion ou on se rend compte que les différences ne comptent pas.  Pour mieux comprendre vos amis dans les classes, on a besoin de les écouter plus proche et de comprendre leurs expériences sociales et culturelles.  Pour mieux gérer le commerce international, on a besoin d’écouter mieux les autres aussi.  On n’a pas besoin d’engager un spécialiste pour se rendre compte que le secret de surmonter des conflits est de mieux comprendre les autres.  C’est exactement où les migrants se trouvent dans ce monde occidental, dans cet espace de malentendu, ou personne de différent ne les écoute jamais.  C’est pourquoi ils sont toujours entourés du conflit, car on ne prend pas le temps pour les mieux comprendre, ou pour mieux se comprendre.  C’est exactement où Mohamed, le personnage principal du livre « Par le feu » se trouve.  Il vivait dans une culture qui ne l’a pas compris de tout, ce qui l’a forcé de se suicider pour être entendu, finalement.  Il a dû terminer sa vie pour qu’il soit compris.</text>

Ce photo a provoqué une réaction forte du monde.  Mais pourquoi ?  Je crois que le pouvoir de cette image vient de la position de corps, mais aussi du couleur de son peau.  Le monde blanc pouvait s’identifier avec le photo grâce à son peau.  Est-ce qu’il y aurait la même réaction pour un bébé noir ?  Pourquoi est ce-que le monde blanc attend le mort d’un bébé pour essayer de comprendre les vies des migrants ?</text>

                <text>Malheureusement, de temps en temps, pour s’identifier avec quelque chose, on a besoin d’être frappé par une tragédie dans laquelle on voit un morceau de soi-même.  La racine de ce que je discute ici est qu’il est très difficile pour le monde de comprendre les autres qui sont différents d’eux parce qu’ils ont de la difficulté de croire en leurs idées et différences ; cela vient de l’incapacité de se voir dans la vie d’un autre.&#13;
	Le 2 septembre, 2015, le corps d’un petit enfant turc (Alan Kurdi) qui s’est noyé dans la mer Méditerranée a échoué sur la plage.  À l’époque de sa découverte, comme dans la photo, il était posé doucement sur la plage, sur son ventre avec son visage tourné sur le côté.  Sans voir les vagues lapant son visage, on penserait qu’il dormait pacifiquement sur la plage.  Cette position est bien connue, surtout par les parents, car c’est la position dans laquelle beaucoup d’enfants dorment pendant leurs sommes ou pendant la nuit.  Mais ce n’était pas le cas pour Alan.  Ce petit garçon de trois ans y posait immobile.  Il est mort il y a quelques heures quand son bateau, plein de migrants, a chaviré cinq minutes de la côte turque.  Sa famille essayait de fuir la Turquie pour réaliser une meilleure vie au Canada.&#13;
	Mais pourquoi est-ce que cette photo a capturé l’attention du monde pendant que la crise des refugiés commençait des années avant ?  Comme j’ai dit, on a besoin de s’identifier avec quelque chose pour l’écouter, et dans cette photo, pour le monde occidental, il y a plus de s’identifier avec que les nouvelles au télé ou les sans abris dans les rue ; là, un enfant semblant endormi, exactement comme leurs enfants dans le chambre d’à côté.  Alan avait la peau claire, comme la majorité du monde occidental.  Il n’est noir ni brun, mais blanc.  Voilà, la clé qui déverrouille le port devant laquelle toute la compassion du monde occidental se cachait.  La réponse du monde était incroyable.  Les chefs politiques ont publié des réactions, disant qu’on a une responsabilité sociale aux refugiés et qu’on ne peut plus ignorer les faits de leurs épreuves.  Des artistes on crée des œuvres qui représentait des messages différents autour du sujet d’Alan et sa famille.  Le monde a vu son corps et, pour la première fois (pas officiellement), ont entendu sa voix, même sans rien dire.&#13;
	Toujours horrible, mais l’expérience d’Alan n’est pas unique.  Dans le film « Ali Zaoua », on explore comment les jeunes enfants malentendus vivent sans la validation par leurs sociétés.  Habitant dans la pauvreté, ils manquent la capacité de se mettre dans l’espace accepte par la public, un espace de richesse, éducation, et pouvoir.  Mais, leur manque d’une vie « traditionnelle » ne veut pas dire qu’ils n’ont pas de propres esprits.  On voit comment nos biais peuvent nous rendre aveugle quand nous pensons aux gens marginalisés par la société.&#13;
	Alors qu’il soit superficiel et problématique au niveau de la racine de la réaction publique, la photo provoque une conversation sur la gravité du malentendu des vies des autres, surtout les migrants essayant de trouver une meilleur vie d’autre parts.  Alan a payé avec sa vie, comme beaucoup d’autres.  Grâce à son sacrifice, le monde commençait à analyser leurs propres idées et comment ils voyaient les autres.  C’est le début d’une bataille beaucoup plus longue, mais on commence petit à petit de voir la capacité des cultures différentes de reconnaître leurs propres différences et de réfléchir à leur impact sur les autres.</text>
